Description: Very cool old photo of a slate mill showing a bunch of workers sifting slate chunks as they come down a conveyor belt. Very cool with lots of neat little details; You can see the hairstyles, some of the facial expressions, the various tools and crates laying around, and even the holes in the clothes the workers are wearing. There are no dots to suggest this is a print when looking closely. The back of the photo has the following written on it - ‘Slate pickers circa 1900 Scranton Pa’. It also has what looks to be the word “morgue” written and circled on the back. Photo is a bit worn with some creases along the corners and some general rubbing and wear along the edges. Picture is still crisp and clear with one small scratch about an inch long. Measures 10” x 8”. Will be carefully wrapped and packed for shipping. Please see pictures for details and if you have any questions let us know. Thanks for looking!
