Description: Antique 1890's wood fern stand painted in a vintage chocolate brown with its original zinc liner. This was likely a plain maple or ash wood underneath the paint.Victorian era. The wood is veneered bentwood. The feet mortise in, and there is a bit of gap in them which creates a tiny fraction of imbalance. This could be corrected if you had the tools to hammer that foot back in...or rather like my favorite simple method, just put a little lift under one foot.Sturdy and beautiful from all angles~! Please see all photos. Touches of dust and dirt remain on planter. The zinc liner at one time was capable of being turned so that the holes would drain. I don't know if it's possible to make that happen again. I wasn't able to shift it. Perhaps if you soaked it in a wd-40...maybe that could work.
