Description: Gorgeous Antique, Royal Vienna Style Tankard/Mug. This beautiful piece is skillfully hand-painted and signed by artist R.Ullman. This is a rare and great quality piece. Featuring deep cobalt blue enamel embellished by rich gilding, raised gilt details, the tankard depicts neoclassic hand painted scene - Apollo surrounded by followers. Condition: some wear to gilt on the handle and minor wear on the top rim; minor wear and scratches on gilt and enamels throughout the piece (good condition considering the age); use related marks; wear and firing imperfections on the foot; this piece maybe had a lid and the handle has a small round hole where the lid was attached. Small line on the handle near the opening. Appears to be a mark from the lid and not crack as it only visible on top of the handle. Please see pictures for more details. I’m happy to provide additional photographs upon request. Despite the above imperfections, this amazing mug looks absolutely beautiful. Marked with beehive mark. Signed by the artist (see the last photo). To the best of my knowledge this piece is late 1800s Measures 5.5” tall. It is a large piece.
