Description: Obscure, small-size, Farmhouse Chic, Royal Ironstone China, Alfred Meakin England, 3-cup, 24-oz. antique white ironstone milk or beverage pitcher with Ram's Head style design atop the handle, measures 3¼" dia. x 5¾" wide x 6¼" high, and dates from pre-1897 vintage based upon the black Alfred Meakin backstamp. In very good, damage-free condition, the pitcher has no chips, cracks, stains or noticeable crazing. What it does have for usage wear is confined mostly to friction wear scratches within the most bulbous outer circumference of the pitcher. As the scratches blend in well with the glaze, this wear is mostly non-detracting. There is also a small glaze nick/flake off the bottom rim, shown. Additionally impressed with the numeral "4" to one base corner. Overall, this is a very clean small-size pitcher for the antique vintage.
