Description: This listing is for TWO different sets of antique porcelain made by two different manufacturers, but I am selling them all together because the patterns are nearly identical, and they all came from the same home: First is a set of SIX cream soup bowls with underplates marked Rosenthal Selb Bavaria Donatello. They have clusters of beautiful blue flowers accented by a few green leaves, finished with gold around the rims and on the handles. All of these antique porcelain pieces are in exceptionally fine condition with no chips, cracks, or wear to the gold trim EXCEPT for one underplate that has a glancing chip on the BACK of the rim. (See photo). When the plate is upright and being used, it cannot be seen. The underplates measure 5 5/8" in diameter, and the diameter of the bowls is 3 1/8". I had a hard time finding consistent information about dating the backstamp, so the best I can narrow down the manufacturing date is sometime between 1884 and 1923. Second is a creamer and sugar set marked MZ Austria with a crown and two-headed eagle backstamp. The MZ stands for Moritz Zdekauer. No chips, cracks, or wear to the gold rim at all on either piece, nor on the lid. The creamer stands about 3 1/8" tall, and the sugar stands about the same height (not counting the lid). The backstamp dates this piece to sometime between 1884 and 1909. It's hard to tell whether any of these pieces have ever been used. They look like they've spent their entire lives in someone's china cabinet. If you are a collector of antique MZ Austria and/or Rosenthal pieces, or you just want a set of unique and stunningly beautiful set for your table, here's a great chance to expand your collection with some pieces that are in a condition rarely found!
