Description: The Captive Child is a very rare retablo. A little detailed gem with the customary flowers on each of his sides. He is depicted standing on a column with shackles in his hand with the other pointing to God. He is the patron Saint of alcoholics, drug addiction and financial troubles. It appears that it was framed at one time with small holes along the edges. Please study the photo closely to observe the loss of paint. The Captive Child, Mexico, oil on tin, 4 3/4 x 6 3/4”, ca 1875
