Description: For sale is this antique timber framing adze head, weighing 2lbs.14.2 ounces. Signed "R. King Cast Steel"{early Collins Co. brand}, it measures 8-1/2" long, with a 4-1/2" wide edge, with a tapered face, measuring 1-1/4" tall, 1-3/8" wide at its base, and 1-5/8" wide at its top, with a 1-1/8" X 1-1/2" rectangular eye. It is in very good overall condition, with a slightly rough edge, which will respond well to honing and sharpening by a experienced hand. There is a chip on the corner of the face, as shown in the last two{2} pictures. Any honing, sharpening, cleaning, and detailing left up to you.
