Description: Antique Qing Dynasty Chinese Silk Damask Plum Fabric Rare 30" x 168" KUDUAN Ku satin, also known as "flower satin" or "fake satin". Ku satin was originally a "tribute" used by the Qing Dynasty. It was named after the "satin library" that was imported to the Ministry of Internal Affairs after being woven. Ku satin includes: original color Ku satin, ground and two-color Ku satin, makeup Ku satin, gold and silver dot Ku satin and makeup Ku satin. Each piece of Kusatin material is 7 meters long and the door width is 75 centimeters. The most number of pattern units is "eight". Generally, "four" and "six" flowers are mostly woven. The so-called "regular" number refers to the number of "unit patterns" arranged horizontally within the width of the satin material. "Four rules" means that there are four same pattern units in a horizontal continuous cycle; "Six rules" means that there are six pattern units in a horizontal continuous cycle. Kudan was hand-woven using wooden machines, which resulted in high cost and low output.Since the Yuan Dynasty, Yun brocade has been used as a tribute for royal clothing. In the Qing Dynasty, there was the "Jiangning Weaving Department". Now we can only admire it in museums This is rare find. It is beautiful silk fabric.
