Description: This is a WONDERFUL early antique push up hog scraper candlestick with great OXBLOOD RED paint that is one of four that we are selling right now. They came from a fellow dealer a few years ago who collected many folk art pieces that were painted by the late Jason Grant aka JW Grant Folkart. If you are familiar with his work you know he had the BEST techniques for aging his paint to blend in seamlessly with even the earliest of original primitive antiques. This is a great example of his fantastic talent. Sadly he passed away back in 2016 and is still forever missed by so many of us who admired his work and how he contributed to both the antiques and folk art communities. He was well known among high end collectors and respected for his work with some of the best folk art museums and Early American Life magazine also featured him in the past. Check out all the pics for a better description than we could ever write here. This one measures about 7.5 inches tall. It is olde and the fabulous paint makes it even better.
