Description: For sale is an very early Antique 17th or 18th C Early lighting Wrought Iron oil lamp. A very primitive look with this one. Some simple decorative bands on the long handle (hard to picture.) 11" tall with a 3" wide basin. Crusie and betty lamps have been in use for centuries in burning oils and fats for lighting. The crusie is generally considered the older with it's open top reservoir. The similar later closed top reservoir are called betty lamps, but many people use the term interchangeably.
