Description: Picked this piece up in a copper lot at an estate sale in Maine and have spent a lot of time trying to figure out who the maker "CC" - there's a few different older artisans that used this mark according to Worth point. Or it could just be the owners initials. Not enough history to be sure. The piece might have been a prototype. Fairly unique, rare, copper hunting mug that has a dovetail, copper rivets, a slightly different color copper handle with the CC stamped all over but in smaller lettering. There is a hole, so it's not water tight. The upper lip rim is rounded down, while the bottom lip has been hammered in a flatten out position to give the cup more balance. Original patina.
