Description: From a Tucson, Arizona collector's estate: Antique Pima Indian basket. Extra large size, measuring 18½ inches in diameter and 6½ inches deep. Exceptionally intricate design, very tightly woven and excellent condition. Baskets of this size and quality are rarely seen for sale. Basket is woven of willow (the lighter material) and devil's claw (the darker material). The basket dates from the period between 1890 and 1920.
