Description: I really don’t know what I’m talking it about when it comes to this kind of stuff, but I did my best to look it up and come up with a fair price. It appears to be a basket used for storing rice and the figure is meant to be a sacred guardian of rice. I believe it originates from the Philippines and could be as much as 70-89 years old, though I have very little ability to date it. It measures right about 8.5 inches tall to the top of the figure, and 6 inches across the bottom, tapering toward the top. There are loops on each side, presumably to hold a braided cord which is no longer present. This belongs to a friend of mine who asked me to list it. If you decide to make an offer, I will have to run it by her and then I’ll either accept or counter.
