Description: Absolutely the stoutest cast iron door holder I have ever seen. One each, true vintage cast door holder patented Sept. 25, 1900 (US658465). Lower door mounted with attachment hardware not included due to the variety of materials and thicknesses of the actual application. The triangular plate has three holes and serves as the pivot point for the foot operated holder arm. Very strong springs for holding/keeping the rubber footed arm in position. Mount straong mounting required. The side of the triangular plate with the pivot arm at approximately 45 degrees is the down position (where rubber tip meets floor). Foot pressure on the arm raises it and allows the rubber stop to be lifted (and if pushed all the way down, the arm is, then, locked in the raised position. Strong flat springs are used to provide the tension. Perfect vintage decor for a large church, cathedral or office building. Rare find, for sure and a true collectible.
