Description: This is a beautiful small watercolor by a female artist named Edna L Teachout who was born and lived her entire life in Saratoga County, New York. She was born in 1869, was married, had one child who died at the age of two, her husband died in 1897, and she live until the age of 93 (!) passing away in 1963. Most of these works were completed between the late 19th century and the late 1930's. None of them are dated. Her final resting place is easily locatable online. I recently acquired this remarkable collection of watercolors by Edna from a fellow estate dealer and will be listing 50 - 75 of them in the coming days - mostly florals and landscapes. She was definitely a skilled hobbyist and with a great eye for color. All priced in at similar price point. Artist name and dates of birth and death in small pencil on the lower corner on the reverse to honor her memory - easily erasable should you choose. This small work and many of her others can be beautiful framed or could make for excellent bookmarks and small, unexpected gifts. To see more pieces by this artist, simply search for her name via eBay search or visit my store. If you'd like to purchase more than one, any unused shipping will be refunded. This is a nautical themed work depicting a tall ship in heavy seas with full sails. Measures 7 x 5 inches. Gorgeous colors throughout. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out.
