Description: Antique Oneta (Wapak) #8 Cast Iron Skillet Circa: 1912-1926.For your consideration is this Oneta cast iron skillet from Wapak Hollow Ware. Founded in 1903, Wapak made both their Wapak line of iron cookware, along with a budget friendly line called Oneta. Both names derive from the name of the town where the foundry was located, Wapakoneta, Ohio. Financial hardship forced the company to file for bankruptcy in 1926.This skillet is in good used shape with minor utensil marks typical of a piece this age. Has some light color variation that will darken and even out with use.The bottom of the skillet has a detailed Oneta logo at the top and size number 8 at the bottom. The Oneta line of cookware was a bit smaller dimensionally and this #8 is closer to a traditional #7 in diameter. The handle features a reinforcement rib on the underside and a loop for hanging the skillet.Sits flat
