Description: This is a very rare and interesting old piece, I think it is some kind of lamp or pastille burner. I am guessing you put a scented tablet on the top of the heated filament holder. Definitely made right after 1923 Howard Carter's discovery of King Tut's tomb. It measures approx. 4 1/4" high, and 2 1/2" wide, heavy and solid cast brass/bronze.
