Description: DescriptionRare little antique clay ink pot.I understand from my research (there are similar ones in the British an Horniman Museums) that it is from the Hausa/Fulani Tribe from Kano, Northern Nigeria. Ink would be stored in it to write on wooden slates. It would have string threaded through the holes at the top - for carrying I presume. Measurements Height 9.5cmWidth at the base 7cm Condition As you can see the (what I would call the spout) has been repaired at some time in the past _gsrx_vers_1680 (GS 9.8.3 (1680))
