Description: Antique Naphtha Wall hang CUSSING & FEARN COLUMBUS Kerosene / Gas / Oil Vapor TORCH light, RARE. Here is a very unusual wall hanging Torch manufactured by the Cussing & Fearn Co., Columbus Ohio. (Misspelled, should read Cussins & Fearn, Columbus Ohio) Hangs 37" (tall). The tin reservoir measures 12" diameter. There is denting (see pictures) I filled with water and there are no major leaks. Made of metal and features a tin fuel tank reservoir at the top with iron piping attached. There are 2 knobs at the bottom that would control fuel flow and a burner where the fire should be. I believe this antique torch dates to the early 1900s. An old Globe Gas Light Catalog states: "Naphtha and Oil Vapor Illuminating Torches for foundries, Machine shops, street Vender, ect."(see picture) Untested & Unsafe to use, For Display Only.
