Description: Up for sale is an antique drawing and painting (mixed media: seems like walnut ink and watercolor wash best guess), drawing approx 5x7 with antique 8x10" matboard overall. This was recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. Lovely drawing, possibly from life, the brown drawing seems almost walnut ink, with watercolor wash. Yellowing to the matboard, some yellowing to the paper. Some losses to the paper above her head from the hanger that was on the back that punched through (hole and tear not extremely noticeable). Lovely drawing of a woman most likely heading to a ball. Believed Victorian era but could be Edwardian. Believed to have been done 100 years ago or more best guess. Wonderful rendering.
