Description: This Middle Eastern Stonepaste Plate with a Flared Rim is Designed with a Short (1/2 Inch) Vertical Foot. The plate is in the Persian Kashan or Syrian Raqqa Style with the Decoration Painted in Black Under a Turquoise Blue Glaze. The edge is decorated in bands of hatched crosses with a floral motif along the walls and in to the curve. The design of the outer band surrounding the rim is repeated within the base with a large floral decoration at the center. Measures approximately 9-3/8 inches across x 1-7/8 inches in height. In excellent condition for its age. Small chips and scrapes along the outer edge with surface scratches to the interior and crazing to the bottom. Included are pictures of the imperfections found.
