Description: Antique Fairbanks scale. Metal & Tile stamped Fairbanks Standard. Metal base is, also, stamped Fairbanks. Measures 15" long x 5" high. Accompanied with a complete set of brass scale weights and a near set of fraction weights of which only 5 of the tiniest ones are missing. Case is made of carved black stone made by Ohaus Scale Company. Excellent condition with ordinary aging of the metal and scattered aging discoloration of the white tile. Estimated to have been made in the late 1800's to early 1900's.
