By the Kinkozan studio, Kyoto, Meiji Era (C.1868 - 1912), late 19th century. The body decorated with opposing scene panels, one depicting Japanese figures in traditional landscape and the other with Chickens in a garden setting. The borders filled with a rich cobalt blue enamel and gilt detailing mounted with a pair of handles and pedestal base. Fitted with the original lid. Double signed "Kinkozan" with calligraphy signature and factory label to inner lid. Inner lip has been restored and some surface wear to the gilding. No further issues. 9cm high.
