Description: Antique Mason's Challenge Blacking wooden store box, with tight dovetailed corners, colorful lithographs and clean condition. The simple wire hinges are disconnected from the box lid, but are still attached to the box. The wood has some dings, scratches and chips on the edges, consistent with being over 100 years old. The paper lithograph on the box is missing a corner and on the lid is intact with the exception of some missing paper on the edges. It measures approximately 11 1/2 x 8 x 5 inches. My passion is searching auctions, sales and antique shops in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and West Virginia for vintage, antique or just plain old treasures and it brings me great pleasure to be able to share these finds with you. As with most vintage items and unless otherwise noted, they have been gently used and may show signs of normal wear consistent with age.
