Description: This antique lap desk has been passed down through my family for generations. Victorian writing/art desk used for traveling. Purple velvet liner is the original. Key works in the lock. Wood inside is stained from use. Lids fit correctly. It has a lot of marks and scratches as you would expect from being so old. Overall, the wood of the box itself is in good condition with no splitting. However, the back bottom of the box has a piece missing about the size of a pinky. Please see pictures for reference. Just below the right hinge on the back of the box. You will see the damage. Sold as is.
