Written by a respected Dean and Professor of veterinary medicine at the Chicago Veterinary College with contributions from six other agriculture, animal husbandry, poultry, and dairy associated professors. Generously illustrated with 1000 great engravings/illustrations and two foldout charts for telling the age of a horse or cattle through tooth appearance. The charts are attached to the book and have been repaired with archival quality mending tissue. There are 1406 pages that overall are in good condition considering their age. No marks, an occasional small toned area, a couple of small corner folds. The exterior is worn with corner scrapes, a split hinges and a damaged and repaired spine cover. The front board binding strings are good and holding it solid and the interior joints front and back are repaired. The exterior has been treated with a leather stabilizer. Book measures 10” x 7” x 3.75” thick. The book is a series of separate books…. Horses, cattle, swine, poultry, sheep, goats, bees, etc. for a total of 110+ chapters spread over the 1406 pages.
