"Royal Bayreuth is the name of a factory that was founded in Tettau, Bavaria, in 1794. It closed in 2019. It made figural and souvenir items from about 1885 to 1915, but its most important products have been tableware and coffee and tea sets. The marks have changed through the years. A stylized crest, the name Royal Bayreuth, and the word Bavaria appear in slightly different forms from 1870 to about 1919. Later dishes may include the words U.S. Zone (19451949), the year of the issue, or the word Germany instead of Bavaria." "The Copenhagen Porcellain Decorating Workshop was founded in 1883. In 1924 it was acquired by the wholesaler company Holst & Knudsen. Holst & Knudsen imported to Denmark whiteware porcelain from Germany and decorated it.The Great Depression made difficult importing cheap German porcelain. That's why Holst & Knudsen established in 1936 own porcelain factory Porcelnsfabriken Danmark. During first years of production, the factory was using the Kjbenhavns Porcellains Maleri (KPM) mark. It continued production till 1969. In 2012, the Danish Porcelain Manufactory Lyngby Porceln was reopened by Christian Elving who in 2011 acquired from owner's family all rights and drawings."
