Description: This is a nice big, roundish old Santo Domingo basket. It is decorated in red and black and is 8" spout to spout and 5.5" tall. Unmarked, pre-1950 I'm sure There is a chip out of one side of a spout and a crack at the base of the handle with a small chip in the edge next to one side of the crack. The crack doesn't seem to go through and the handle is not cracked on the other side. There is some glue (I guess) reinforcing the crack. It sure displays well. My late husband had it for years and I never saw the crack. The yellow in the photos is a reflection, it's typical coloration for polychrome Santo Domingo.
