Description: This is a serving bowl by John Alcock who made ironstone earthenware under this mark at the Elder Pottery in Cobridge, Staffordshire, UK from 1853-1861. This classic English blue and white transferware piece features the "Priory" pattern, and depicts a lovely scene of a structure and bridge, with grapevine decoration around the border. This piece is in good antique condition, with typical discoloration for a piece of this age, and some chips which I have highlighted in the photographs.
