Description: ** Antique Japanese Imari Oval Footed Shallow Bowl Dish Scalloped Edge ( 1800s ~ VG ) ** For sale is an antique Japanese Imari oval dish with scalloped rim and shallow foot, beautifully hand decorated on both the top and underneath surfaces. Dish measures 1-1/2 inches in height to the rim, 8-11/16 inches in length, and 6-7/16 inches in width, being in very good condition showing some minor signs of use (Note; the rim has a pair of very fine hairlines, one a 1/4 of an inch long, the other 3/8 of an inch long, both very hard to see on the topside “see 5th & 6th photos, underneath side”, with the dish having a obvious twist when viewed from the side “see 4th photo”, there also being a small nick on the outside rim under the glaze from manufacture “see 5th & 6th photos”, with the top surface showing some very light scuffing from regular use).
