ANTIQUE ITALIAN ETCHING BY LUIGI OLIVETTI SIGNED, ROMAN MARKET VENDOR WITH SCALE

Description: Antique Italian etching by Luigi Olivetti, signed and undated, depicting a Roman market vendor with a scale. It measures 9.75" x 13.75" and the image measures 2.1" x 5". Hand signed in pencil. Unframed. There is some foxing and discolouration to the paper but the image is clean. I have several other Luigi Olivetti signed etchings for sale in separate listings. These include a woman on a balcony, several Venetian gondoliers on a canal, and a sole Venetian gondolier on a canal. Luigi Olivetti (born in Revere, Lombardy on November 19, 1856. Died in Tivoli on January 28, 1941). He was an Italian painter, both in oil and watercoour, and an engraver. His secular birth name was Luigi Giamoco Angelo. He was a resident of Rome and later in life, he moved to Tivoli with his wife Mariannina Palma. He is buried in Rome in the Verano Monumental Cemetary.
