Description: Antique Irish Chain Quilt 87375 Red and Cheddar Yellow This listing is for a vintage Irish Chain quilt.The quilt measures approximately 69" X 81". Judging by the fabrics used, I would estimate the quilt is from between 1880 and 1910. The light fabric is light cream, but was probably not white when it was new. There are small areas of wear, a few small holes, and some storage/age stains that I have not tried to clean. It is a thicker batted quilt. The fabric appears to be cotton. The blocks appear to have been assembled by hand. The quilting was done by hand. Quilting stitches average 10 stitches per inch, counting both the top and bottom stitches. While this quilt is not perfect, it is a wonderful primitive. I appreciate that buyers would like to buy for the best price possible, but half-price offers are never considered or acknowledged.
