Description: Take this opportunity to own a handsomely made RESTORED CONDITION monumental JUNGHANS Neo-Classical mantle/table clock in RARE SOLID OAK clock case. Highest quality solid brass plate 7-day wind two train suspension spring movement recently restored; 4 ½” inch diameter silvered chapter ring stenciled ornately surrounding Arabic numerals sets into a polished brass backplate; clock face mounts to a solid oak wood case executed in the Neo-Classical Style; circular steel gong mounted to cast iron sound sink located alongside movement; both movement & chime assemblies are mounted securely to case. Masterfully made Neo-Classical Style solid & veneered oak wood case adorned with intricate carved oak decorative motifs; front hinged wood frame heavily beveled glass door with brass pull knob for friction fit; above front door is an impressive cornice decorated with egg & dart molding; atop this molding is an angular pediment which forms the overhanging roof also made of oak; carved oak fluted pilasters flank each side of the clock case which also contain wood details suggesting column bases and capitals; all wood trim fitted properly & securely fastened to case. Chiming correctly & running in time. APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS: height 15 ½” x width 11 ½” x depth 7” I am NOT a retailer. I am an antique clock collector wishing to reduce my clock collection. This clock comes from my collection & has been running successfully for several years with no difficulties. It has been tested prior to this offering. Clock set-up to establish the correct “beat” is paramount to the clock’s operation, accomplished through placement & leveling. Additionally, temperature & humidity may affect it over time as well. Do not over wind the clock. Lastly, I cannot not guarantee the clock’s operation once shipped. I do take pride as a seller and buyer of these clocks. All shipments will be wrapped in bubble wrap (key & pendulum wrapped separately) set tightly into box containing Styrofoam peanuts, tapped shut & then placed into second box (as may be necessary) filled with padding for added protection, taped shut on all sides.
