Description: Antique Imperial Shakspere Shakespeare. Divisions 2 and 3. Undated but probably 1870s. Rare editions. Boards have bevelled edges and text block edges are gilt all round. Splits to the sides of spine and rubbing. Both books have steel engravings with guards. Some light mottling to first few pages. Just front end-paper loose on division 3. Rest of pages are clean and binding sound throughout. These are large and heavy books 15 inches x 11 inches. Corners are bumped and some rubbing to edges:
