Description: For sale: a pair of antique candlesticks (chamber holders). Originally silver-plated, most of the silver has worn away, revealing metal underneath. The first candlestick is a slightly larger and is stamped as made at the Dubinin Factory of Applied Silver in St. Petersburg. The stamp is still readable. While there's not much silver plating left on this candle holder, the piece is a bit uneven and is in structurally good condition considering its antique status. Please see photos for more information on the condition of the candle holder. The second candlestick doesn't have a stamp, but it is in slightly better condition with more silver plating remaining and the underlying metal visible. Although unstamped, the quality and age suggest it might also be from the same factory. We don't have more information about it. The Dubinin Factory of Applied Silver, founded by Vasily Mikhailovich Dubinin, operated in St. Petersburg from 1842 (or 1844) until 1861. The factory was located on Glazovskaya Street, Sveshnikov's house, and Dubinin was a merchant of the III Guild. Фабрика Федора Дубинина открылась в 1840-х годах, работала до 1870-х, Россия, Санкт-Петербург, середина XIX века.
