These weights are roughly modern standards-grade. Well maintained. • Item’s Background - Retired Engineer's Estate Sale Item, Pasadena, Ca. Originally collected from Bristol vicinity, England, during an antiquing/vacation expedition in 1960s. • Working Condition – Excellent. These weights are fully functional and perform exactly as originally intended. (See weight Calibration Testing Table, below.)Many other weights out there are merely approximately accurate - just barely adequate enough for their intended purpose. These weights have tested out to a higher standard. • Cosmetic Condition – Shows Well. No unusual wear, marring, pitting, or corrosion. However, there are the usual marks from original manufacturing, batch handling, and packaging. (See pics.) These weights have at some point been painted brass/gold - likely to retard rust or for commercial aesthetic/hygienic reasons. • Bottom Line - This is a handsome set of 8 classic antique iron weights at a very reasonable price.
