Antique George Jones & Sons England Brown Transferware Polychrome Compote

Description: Offering an antique aesthetic compote produced by George Jones & sons, stoke, Staffordshire, England. “Almonds” pattern. It features transfer printed in brown and embellished with painted multi-colors. The birds are cuddling on almond branches on a cream background. Raised white enamels decoration. Gold rimmed. There is an impressed George Jones mark on the foot’s bottom plus a red number and black ink number there. Dated around 1870s. Excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Gold wear on top rim. Some browning. Please see the pictures as they are part of my description. It measures approximately 8 1/4” in diameter at the top, 4 1/4” tall. Rare find- brown transfer printed polychrome hand - painted in this pattern. Don’t miss it! Note: Please ask all pertinent question in advance of purchase so as to avoid misunderstanding.
