The size is 45 inches by 49 inches (not including fringe). I purchased the rug many years ago from a Swiss dealer who in turn acquired the rug from a Swiss estate. It’s been in storage or never walked on for almost all of its life (I have kept it in storage or hanging in the 20 years that I owned it). A rug dealer once told me that the picture is actually that of the city of Kashan. This is a very important and must-have piece for any collector, especially those who collect Kashans. It’s hard to find a true antique example in such condition.
