I picked up this unique Gayner wine decanter at a yard sale or auction some time ago. My husband and I are doing some much-needed downsizing, so it's time to pass it along to someone else to enjoy. In researching this item online, I found an example with a paper label on it for Streit's New York State Concord Wine. I have no idea whether that is what this decanter originally held or whether these bottles were produced for various other brands of wine as well. The decanter itself appears to be in excellent antique condition, as it doesn't have any obvious chips or cracks. The top rim is a little textured, but I'm not sure whether that it from wear or just the way it has always been. The cork on the stopper, though, has partially eroded. The inside of the bottle could use a better cleaning, but I don't have the right kind of bottle brush to clean it as well as I would like. Be sure to zoom in on the pics to make sure everything is up to your standards. The bottle without the stopper is about 8.5 inches tall. It is about 10.5 inches tall with the stopper.
