Description: Fritz Heckert enamelled and gilded glass juice glass or beaker from the 'Jodhpur' range featuring engraved birds feeding on berries. Measures 8cm high with 4.8cm diameter rim. In excellent condition, no damage - see photos as part of description. Fritz Heckert's glass decorating workshop established in 1866 in Petersdorf Silesia produced some of the world's finest enamelled glass of the late 19th Century. The so-called 'Jodhpurglasses' are one of the most celebrated, iconic products of the glassworks. Blank glassware was sourced from the nearby Josephinenhtte until 1889 when the Fritz Heckert company began manufacturing its own glass. The range of products included iridescent glass and cameo glass. The company was eventually merged with Josephinenhtte after the First World War.
