Description: Description of item for sale: This fireplace or range hood is from France and dates to the late 1800's or early 1900's. We believe it was originally part of a fireplace surround. It is open at the top and bottom and also the back. It is made from solid walnut finished to a dark walnut color. It would work beautifully as a hood cover over a large kitchen range. It is in very good antique condition with only very minor chips and discolorations and no woodworm or dry rot whatsoever. As we do with all of our furniture, we finished it with a coat of antique grade paste wax that will maintain its beauty for years to come. Dimensions: 29" high, 66" long and 22" deep at the base and 44" long and 14" deep at the top.
