Description: Vallerysthal Glass covered candy dish, modelled as a giant Strawberry with a Snail finial on top, a cluster of leaves forming the base. Some original colour remaining. Made by Vallerysthal glassworks in France, circa 1890. Vallerysthal Glassworks was founded in 1836 in Lorraine, France. It made table and decorative glass, opaline, cameo, and art glass. The candy dish measures approximately 6 inches high, with 5 inch by 4 inch base and a 4.5 inch by 3.5 inch opening. The item(s) are antique and sold as is. They may show wear, fading, scratches, original imperfections and/or damage from normal use. Paint is worn in many places, and both base and lid have been broken and chipped as shown in photos.
