With attractive cartouche dnad floral frieze below the rim. Hallmarked with the French Minerva mark 1st standard, the highest standard of French sterling silver. The mark depicts the profile of Roman goddess Minerva beside the numeral 1. This indicates a silver content of 95% (higher than sterling which is 92.5%). It also bears the silversmith’s VD, possibly for Victor Demire. ConditionIn antique condition with some wear. Dings, scratches and surface wear throughout. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
