Description: Antique French Ex Voto Sacred Heart measures 2.5 inches tall and 1.25 inches wide. The heart is quite old and appears to made of brass and copper and may have been silver plated originally (based on the silver surface inside the heart). "M" engraved on front of the heart. Heart was purchased in France. Roman numerals VIII faintly scratched inside the heart on each half (photo 9). Loops on the back for hanging. The hinge works well, and the heart stays tightly closed. There is surface wear, verdigris on the flame, a tarnish spot and small dent on the back of the heart.Overall, the heart has a lovely patina consistent with age and use. It has not been polished because I did not want to remove the patina. Shipping: USPS Priority Mail with insurance and tracking.
