This textile is made of hand woven using linen wool and cotton. The weft stripes are the most wonderful hand dyed tones of pink , blues and browns ~ ~This wonderful textile is hand woven in the South of France and was used for olive harvest ~ wonderful stripes of naturally dyed They are such a fabulous heavy weight. I use these textiles in my living room, stuffed with a massive bolster pillow and throw them on my sofa. I also use them decoratively just draped on the side of the chair. They are some of my favorite textiles ~ There are glorious signs of time and use on this sack ( please use the zoom feature on the photographs to view closely ) This sack has lost wool in many places, so it gives a patchy look, which i LOVE so much. I use tone like this in my own living room. It also has a 2 inch round hole on one side ~ It has that aged , time touched look that I simply adore. ( if you need a piece of patching linen, just say and Ill enclose with your sack! ) . So this textile is not right for anyone requiring a perfect condition textile, however it couldnt be more wonderful for someone looking for an artistic condition .
