Description: From a collector's estate, this glamorous French Boudoir Doll represents the fashionable ladies of the Belle Epoque era who would promenade with high society at the Bois de Boulogne in Paris. The doll is 18" tall and in very good condition. She's all original and very beautiful with her sultry eyes in the shadow of those incredible, furry eyelashes. Unfortunately, the top silk layer of her pressed cloth face has peeled in places, but it's hardly noticeable. Also the silk scarf on her bodice is frayed and its lace trim needs to be reattached (hand stitched) in the back. There are a few small holes on the left side of her dress. But after 100 years, these things are to be expected. She's a remarkable find in amazing condition, and an enchanting objet d'arte from the Belle Epoque era in France.
