Description: For auction is an antique blue-striped stoneware water jug or crock. It is somewhat rare that the original brass spigot that comes with this one has survived. These are almost always missing or replaced. This one also comes with its original lid. The piece displays well despite its imperfections. There are two large flakes on the lid- on alternate sides of the lid and the blue decoration on the lid was smeared during manufacture. There are also several small flakes on the rim of the crock but no cracks or damage to the structure of the crock. It 'rings' when it is tapped. The piece is 16" tall and approximately 10 1/4" in diameter at its widest. (SHD)
