Description: Discovered at an estate auction in upstate New York it has been said that this was given to him as a gift, the original note is still taped to the bottom and quite legible. It was received in the Philippines during his army tour of duty, and given as a gift in the 1950s It's been gathering dust for generations. Measures 8” tall, hand carved, probably mahogany. The figure is missing his head severing axe, however. In case you are wondering, he is anatomically correct under the loin cloth (view pics) a very unique piece and the note on the bottom of the base only adds to its beauty. Thanks for looking.
