Description: Antique Large Copper Cowboy Coffee Pot Wooden Bail Handle Original ChainProduct Description: Earlier on, especially in the Western U.S., it was a tradition for Cowboys and Ranchers to make their coffee around campfires with pots similar to this one. They were also used on ships during some American Wars. This extra large coffee pot with a copper exterior and tin interior is constructed with rivets, soldered seams and rolled or folded edges. Underneath the lid which is held on by the original chain, are initials scratched in the surface which appears to be "E L", from a previous owner or craftsman. A coffee pot like this one is not an easy find and is a wonderful display piece.
