Description: For sale is this collectable original etching by the American artist Stephen Parrish (1846-1938). Stephen Parrish was the father of Maxfield Parrish, an esteemed American printmaker and illustrator in his own right. This original etching is signed by the artist in the plate, lower left. I believe the scene is a beach near Hastings. It measures about 8 by 11 3/4 inches. It comes with a simple black frame and its glass. The frame measures about 9 by 12 3/4 inches. It is in fair condition with strong contrast and visibility. No rips or tears. Some pale foxing and water staining as well as acid discoloration which is more visible on the back of the etching.
